I liked the title so thought I'd fill in the page with "what's been going on right now" :0)
The camper is now back in the garage. Everything is completed inside. Now Gary will be working on the outside of the camper. He wants to add a second propane bottle and a box in front of the camper which will hold the rug we will use under the awning at our camp site.
Yesterday I made chili to freeze for one of our first nights out. I am going to make a chicken and rice dish and a vegetable soup. All of these are easy to freeze and then placed in the camper refrigerator. They will thaw out as we travel and then they will be ready to be popped in the microwave for us to have some good home cooking away from home. Our goal and challenge is to be sure to eat healthy on this trip. This will give is us a few good choices for the first part of ithe trip.
In the camper kitchen I have running water and electricity when we are hooked up at the camp grounds. We usually stays in Good Sam campgrounds since we are not fully self contained. But with the hookup we can just about do anything you can do at home. I have a microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot for cooking inside the camper and a grill for outside. Anymore you can get whatever you need at grocery stores with their delis, salad bars and roasted chicken or whatever their special is and of course fresh fruit and veggies so eating healthy should not be too hard to do.
We will be walking about a mile to the lighthouse every day so we have been walking each morning to get oursellves in shape. We were biking but not so much recently for one reason or other. We plan on doing a lot of biking once we get settled in so once we get there each ride will build us up for the next one.
We have three list: General, Gary's and mine. They are filling up and will help us take what we need as we start packing the week before we go.
So that is pretty much what has been going on for now.
